A bit about Paul…
Over the years, Paul Bellard has transformed himself from being introverted and shy, too afraid to even board a bus for fear of people looking at him, to become an international trainer, inspirational speaker and executive coach.
The transition from all has not been plain sailing. Paul’s 12 year career as a Merseyside police officer was cut short when, whilst serving as a detective a car crush on duty led to a year off sick and four months unable to walk. Eventually, he was forced to retire and was told that he would never walk properly again.
Obese, clinically depressed and suffering from a debilitating spinal disease, within 12 months leaving of being forced to retire Paul had formed an international business management consultancy, learned to waterskiing, dance salsa and fly an aeroplane. He was back in shape and fighting fit.
Paul has trained and spoken is 23 countries around the world and will today share his inspiring story, teach you the secrets and the techniques that he used to make his transition. Whether you want to wow them in business presentations or amaze the masses on an international stage there is something here for you.
State Management
This is crucial to giving a great presentation. Combined with posture, once you master this you can project total confidence, passion and impact even if you are not quite feeling that way.
Controlling the Inner Voice
Once you realise that you even have and inner voice, you are off to a great start. The next step is learning to recognise when its not serving you. Paul will share with you how he works ‘with’ his inner voice in order to bring authenticity, deep audience connection and openness to his presentations.
Voice projection
Voice projection is essential if you are to be taken seriously. Learn how to command attention by finding your voice of authority.
For the voice to work well, the larynx needs to be fully open and relax. When we are nervous, the larynx closes and creates a higher pitch. This leads to constriction and force to project – an uncomfortable and eventually a painful result.
Paul will share lessons taught to him during vocal training by a top Hollywood singing coach. By understanding how the instrument of the voice works you can learn how to make it more flexible, stronger and resilient to the effects of prolonged use, you’ll speak with confidence, impact and authority.
Overall, you will learn that great speakers and presenters are not born that way. Speaking is a skill that you can learn, develop and hone. If you listen, interact and apply this material, it wont be long before you are speaking with style, confidence and impact.
